Starting from the 9th of March, morning worship services will be held at the Caledonian Society Hall, 5 Michelle Road, Wigram. Evening worship will continue at the 28 Shands Road, Hornby building.

Our desire is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by
exalting God, growing together in faith, and equipping one another to bear witness to Christ to the world.
WHERE ARE WE?
Our church building is located at 28 Shands Road, Hornby, Christchurch. As we are growing in numbers, our morning services are held at the Canterbury Caledonian Society Hall in Wigram.
Our services are translated live into Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. We also livestream our services on YouTube.

OUR PASTOR
Josh finds it a joy to serve God’s people as the pastor with the elders and deacons of this church. His prayer is that through the preached gospel, God’s people will grow in knowing and sharing Jesus. Josh desires that the grace of our God, who saves sinners, may shine through us as we treasure the wonders of His loving mercy in Christ Jesus, and grow to love and live for Him more each day.
Before becoming pastor at Dovedale in late 2022, Josh served for 14 years in the New Zealand Police and worked as a dairy farmer for 6 years. He graduated from the Reformed Theological College in Melbourne, Australia. Josh is married to Heidi and they have four children.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
JESUS CHRIST
...is the Son of the Living God. He came in flesh to reveal the grace and truth of God. He died to pay the penalty for sins. He rose to life everlasting. He is coming again to make all things new.
THE BIBLE
...is the written word of God. It is the final authority for all we must believe, embrace, and obey.
GRACE
...is the undeserved favour of God, freely given to all who draw near to Him in faith. The greatest expression of God’s grace is the gift of His Son, whose sacrifice gives us eternal life.
FAITH
...is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction of what we cannot see. This too, is a gift from God accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit.
CREEDS & CONFESSIONS
...are faithful summaries of the Bible’s core teachings. We reference these often to protect us from inventing our own interpretations of God’s Word. You can view the various creeds and confessions we uphold here.
THE RCNZ
We are part of a larger group of churches known collectively as the Reformed Churches of New Zealand (RCNZ).
Together, we hold a common set of beliefs and practices, and work together for mutual encouragement, accountability, and furthering the kingdom of God through the proclamation of the Gospel of Grace in New Zealand.
